Salla — Privacy Policy

Salla is a mobile application that connects people looking for wedding and event venues in Algeria with the owners who manage those venues. This policy explains what information Salla collects, why, how it is stored, and the choices you have. Salla is operated by an individual developer (referred to here as “we”, “us”, or “the operator”). You can reach us at the contact address at the end of this page.
Information we collect
We only collect information needed to provide the service:
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and whether you use Salla as a venue owner or as a customer. You provide this when you create an account.
- Venue information (owners only) — the details you enter about your venue, such as its name, description, address, city, wilaya, capacity, price, and photographs you upload.
- Booking information — when a customer requests a date, we record the venue, the requested date, guest count, any message you write, and the contact details needed to complete the request between customer and owner.
- Approximate location — if you choose the “nearest first” option, the app uses your device’s approximate location to sort venues by distance. This is used only while you are using the app, is not stored on our servers, and you can decline it. Salla works without location access.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To let customers discover venues and send booking requests.
- To let venue owners receive, accept, or decline booking requests and manage their calendar and client list.
- To show approximate distance between you and a venue, when you enable it.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
How information is shared
Salla is a marketplace, so some information is shared between the two sides of a transaction, by design:
- When a customer sends a booking request, the venue owner receives the customer’s name, phone number, requested date, guest count, and message, so they can respond and arrange the booking.
- Venue details and photos that owners publish are visible to customers browsing the app.
We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except with the service providers described below, or where required by law.
Where your information is stored
Salla uses Google Firebase (a service provided by Google) for authentication, database storage, and file storage. Your information is stored on Google’s secure cloud infrastructure. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider. You can review Google’s privacy practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, except where we are required to retain certain records by law. Booking records may be retained by the other party to a booking as part of their own records.
Your choices and rights
- You can review and update your account details in the app.
- You can decline or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the app remains usable without it.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.
Children
Salla is not directed to children and is intended for adults arranging or providing event venues. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated within the app.
